A group recently gathered at Montrose Memorial Library for the April edition of Crafternoon. This monthly event is sponsored by Montrose Health Center and is planned and facilitated by Victoria Matlock of Lee County Floral.

Each month Matlock offers a different craft project relating to the season or a holiday. All supplies and tools needed are provided. Thanks to Montrose Health Center, there is no charge for this monthly event. However, you are asked to stop in at the library, or give them a phone call at 319-463-5532 to reserve your spot.

This month’s project was the decorating of a small wood birdhouse. How neat it will look nestled among some potted plants or displayed on a shelf with other related items. Next month’s project will be a Mother’s Day flower arrangement. It’s not too early to make your reservation for this next Crafternoon.
